Our Craft Beers During VCBW
(not all beers available at the same time, many are limited editions which we replace as they are sold out)
Our Valiant Belgian IPA is a celebration of the valiant brewing forefathers in Belgium who perfected the art of making great beer and inspired Dead Frog to do the same.
This hybrid unfiltered IPA is our most romantic brew yet; it’s the perfect marriage of a West Coast hop powerhouse and an elegant Belgian ale. The beer is a vibrant, hop forward, delicately balanced IPA brewed using West Coast hops and traditional Belgian yeast. Flavours from two distinct styles of beer combine to make a unique brew with inspiration from two sides of the brewing world.
Nut Brown Ale
Dead Frog Nut Brown Ale is a full-bodied, polished, surprisingly refreshing premium dark ale with a wealth of taste sensations roused by roasted malts with hints of chocolate and espresso flavours.
A blend of the finest specialty malts gives Race Rocks Ale it’s smooth, complex character and deep chestnut colour. Don’t let its dark colour scare you; toasted biscuit flavours with subtle notes of caramel and chocolate make Race Rocks an exceptionally mellow, well balanced ale to please any taste.
Keepers Stout is an award winning, authentic example of a classic Irish style, full-bodied, black ale that pours with a rich, creamy head. Bold, complex flavours of espresso and fine, dark chocolate build to a pleasingly mild roasted malt finish.
Cask series, a ginger wit. 7.5% Belgian-style wit made with coriander and ginger.
Brewed with the hop aficionado in mind! Fat Tug is a northwest style India Pale Ale with an intense hop profile with notes of grapefruit, mango melon and passion fruit. Sufficient malt is there to provide support. At 7 % alc/vol and 80+ IBUs this beer delivers on the promise to satisfy anyone with a thirst for all things hoppy!
The Blue Buck is a legendary beast known to grant those that see him good fortune and safe travels! A deep amber coloured beer, the Blue Buck has a crisp finish featuring a delicate hop aroma. Certainly seeing the Blue Buck on bottle grants the drinker a great experience! Worth searching for. Alcohol 5%
Phoenix Gold Lager
A classic bohemian lager fermented cold, and liberally hopped with innovative North American varieties. A distinctive nose compliments the traditionally crisp finish.
Brewed with the finest Eastern European pilsners in mind. It balances a deep golden malt flavour with a refined hop character derived from Czech Saaz hops and a selection of German Noble Hop varieties.
Down Easy Pale Ale
The down easy is our contribution to the amazing range of classic Pacific Northwest Pale Ales. It carries a rich maltiness, is lighter in amber colour, and is finished with distinctive Cascade hops. This is definitely a session beer.
Summer Haze Honey Hefe
On a sunny summer day, just like today, the Great and Wonderful Oz set sail in his hot-air balloon. As ballast, some say, his basket was loaded to the brim with Hoyne Hefeweizen. After lift-off, his thirst gathered like a summer storm. Quenching it, he lightened his load, and found himself carried delightfully away. The rest, as they say, is his story. Hefeweizen | 5.10% ABV
R + B Brewing
Dark Star Oatmeal Stout
R&B’s Dark Star Oatmeal Stout boasts a distinct roasted coffee flavour and cappuccino coloured head, and is completed with a complex chocolatey, malty bitterness. Dark Star is without a doubt our darkest beer, but its relatively high effervescence makes it surprisingly refreshing for a stout. Unquestionably our most involved malt blend, this dark and complex stout is brewed in memory of our late friend and employee, Jamie Kelly.
